Sarah Chiles

Sarah Chiles is an Economic Development Specialist with Rappahannock Electric Cooperative, where she works on large-scale infrastructure supporting long-term regional growth. Her work focuses on complex project coordination, stakeholder engagement, and aligning economic opportunity with responsible planning. She brings eight years of nonprofit leadership experience from her role as Deputy Director of the Fredericksburg SPCA, along with a strong background in public-private collaboration, organizational operations, public engagement, and mission-driven service. A Virginia Tech graduate, Sarah believes in the power of regional partnerships to drive sustainable, higher-wage job growth and is particularly focused on strengthening talent pipelines and cross-jurisdictional collaboration to ensure both urban and rural communities across GO Virginia Region 6 benefit from long-term competitiveness. Outside of work, she is a wife, mom of two, wrangler of four dogs, a volunteer high school band uniform chair, and enjoys reading and sewing.
